After the water park we were all famished!!! (That may be the understatement of the year), not to mention
exhausted. Van was so asleep she stayed asleep as I carried her in and then the entire time we waited she slept on the lawn outside the
restaurant. Heather took us to this great
restaurant called Red Rock. It is right on the shore of a beautiful lake. It had a
peninsula that jutted out into it that had a lighthouse on the end of it. There were cranes and other water fowl everywhere and as dark fell there were ENORMOUS frogs out there. Savanna thought that she should pick up and collect the
crayfish pincher's that were all over out there. GROSS!!! She says they were her treasures so we carefully bagged them and brought them on home with us in my suitcase! I love the interest and joy that she can find in the simplest things. We also found some fisherman out on the
pier. she of coarse in her ever so shy way had to go ask them to show her their fish, and tackle boxes and poles and everything. They were very cute with her and "She touched a fish!"
