Aren't Kids Fun!!

So Early (very early) Tuesday morning Van woke up and came into my room. I had heard her do a terrible sounding cough right before I saw her, and then when I did see her I knew we were in trouble. She was blue tinged around her lips and in her nail beds. So off we went to the ER even tho I knew they were going to tell me not to worry and to go home! When we got there they were great. We got right in the doc was so good with her and actually listened to me. He examined Van and said that he thought that she had croup (even tho she is a bit on the old side for it) He gave her a dose right then of Decadron which is a steroid to help with the swelling. They did this by mixing the IV med into some motrin. Van immediately announced that it was nasty and made a very picture worthy face if I had had a camera. So we are currently at home and doing ok so far but are extremely sleep deprived. Don't worry if anything changes I will let you know!!!!
