Christmas

We had a marvelous Christmas! Vanners got up at nineish and went out to immediately check out her stocking. She then regained control of herself and came and woke us up. We went out and she helped the dogs get their stockings opened. They were also thrilled with the haul. Kuma went around the room trying to get everyone to give him one of the treats out of his. He was unsuccessful since none of us wanted to deal with the returning of said treats once he had gorged himself. As the gift opening proceeded Van became more and more dramatic about each gift. She would squeal and throw herself on the floor. It was a bit much but it was good for a laugh. when nearly all of the opening was done she got very somber and when asked what was wrong she said, and I quote, "I ORDERED a furr real kitty and I didn't get it." Well once I recovered from my giggling at her we had the good old well honey we can't have everything we ask for. She straightened right up and was happy and grateful for what she did get. Then we got lunch going and laid down for a much needed nap. I have been overly tired lately. When we woke up Grandma Great and Linda were there. We shared a fabulous lunch and then got ready to head out to Grandma Allens for the evening.
