I went to the hospital because I was leaking fluid. I expected to be admitted put on antibiotics, and bed rest because I was still 5 weeks from my due date. Well to my surprise my doctor decided to just deliver him. I was TERRIFIED! Fortunately all of my wonderful friends and coworkers in the NICU were there to help him. (They also played this funny joke!)
In the end he didn't need my worry or any help and did GREAT all on his own. We did spend 48 hours in the NICU due to a neurotic nurse in post partum and a funky CBC (better safe then sorry)
We are home now and doing well. He is the cutest Noisiest baby I have ever met. He moans and grunts and coos at EVERYTHING. It is very cute. He is very lucky to have the BEST big sister.
She is doing very good with him, and loves him very much. She has even read him his first story book!
His grandparents also think that he is the bees knees, and are already spoiling him!
I was also fortunate enough to be able to have my sis and her hubby Matt fly out when I had him. Funny story here. She told me that under no circumstances could I have him on this weekend because they had tickets to the BYU game. So of coarse this is when it happened. Well it all happened so fast that about 10 min before they went into the game my mom sent her a picture on her phone of the baby. Together they made the decision to sell their tickets and head home to Oklahoma from Texas so that they could be on a plane to Utah in the morning. It was so so so good to have them both here. They are the absolute cutest couple and were adorable with their newborn nephew. I was even afraid I would have to check uncle Matts bags before he left.
All in all I feel very blessed with how things went and am so thankful and at piece with my new much fuller life!!

Congrats Cami! He looks just like Savannah. I feel bad that he was born on the day the Sooners lost to BYU. But at least something good happened that day. So congrats again!!! You are a great mommy!
